Overview

Now in its 4th year, the Goodwin Realty Group's Christmas Lights competition was borne from frustration that our local residents were 'tripping-off' to other parts of Auckland to view light displays, when we could rather inspire our community to create some 'magic' in their own neighbourhood. What better time, than the Festive Season, to connect with your neighbours and bring joy and wonder to our children and to the child within us all!

How the Christmas Lights Competition Works

Register to enter and we will personally deliver further instructions and a Christmas Lights poster with a Voting Code to display outside your home. You will also receive a 'Goody Bag' with tips, vouchers & treats to help you get started with your Christmas decorating & to have some family fun over the Festive Season.

Then simply decorate your home with lights and festive décor and be in to win some fabulous prizes!

We will arrange to take photographs of all the homes that are entered in the competition and the pictures will be added to the Gallery section of the website for all to admire!

To add to the fun, we are asking the community to vote to determine the winners! Voting begins on Monday the 6th December, with maps being delivered, to share the location of all the homes that are entered, from Friday 3rd December. Maps will also available from any one of the Goodwin Realty Group's 7 offices. All you have to do is rug-up with the kids and, take them 'on tour' of the Christmas lights in your area.

Voting closes on 20th December and all participants are invited to attend a Prize Giving function with refreshments on 21st December at 5pm at the Goodwin Realty office in Mt Albert – 910 New North Road.

We hope that in the spirit of the Festive Season, you will take part in the Christmas Lights competition, and help add some extra 'sparkle' in our community.

Terms and Conditions

The competition is open to residents of Mt Albert, Sandringham, Pt Chevalier, Avondale and Mt Eden.

If you are renting please get permission from your landlord before entering.

Christmas Lights entrant registrations close on 30th November. Online entrants will be address verified by post or a personal visit.

Entry into this competition is deemed to be consent to use the name, locality and home photograph of the entrant online and for publicity purposes, without compensation.

Online voting starts from 6th December. Votes close 20th December at 5pm.

To be eligible for the "Lucky Voters Prizes" please ensure that you include a gold coin donation for Plunket.

For online voting we allow one vote per email address.

Entry winners will be celebrated at a prize giving function to be hosted on Tuesday 21st December.

Judges decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Employees of Goodwin Realty may dress their houses but are not eligible to collect votes. These houses will be designated Entrant Code: NV.
